The Publishers Association of the South (PAS), an organization of book publishers and related firms and individuals, was established in 1985 to promote book publishing in the South and to provide information and educational opportunities to its members. Records of the Publishers Association of the South (PAS) document the organization's development and efforts to promote book publishing in the South. Included are correspondence files, newsletters, meeting minutes, membership records, financial records, and a few other items. Most of the files relate to PAS's exhibits at American Booksellers Association (ABA) and Southeast Booksellers Association (SEBA) conventions and to the organization's meetings, seminars, and workshops. Also included are newsletters of the Publishers Marketing Association (PMA), 1999-2002, and newsletters and directories of the Small Publishers Association of North America (SPAN), 1997-2003.
